Covid 19 – Sheringham RNLI shops have been closed but on Monday 12th April the High Street Shop will reopen.
In normal times there are two Lifeboat Shops in Sheringham from which you can choose a wide variety of souvenirs as well as some more unusual gifts for friends and family. Both shops are run by volunteers who will help you complete your purchase. The larger shop in the High Street (Tel 01263 821 601) is managed by Mrs Carolyn Price. Once we are completely through this Covid 19 experience the shop will hope to follow a normal routine with shopping hours seven days week and offering a wide variety of quality products plus leaflets and information specially selected by the RNLI. In the winter months from January to March the shop will be open from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm, and in April to December 10.30 am to 4.30 pm and on Sundays from 11.00 am to 2.00pm.. These times may change depending on a number of variables.
However following recent Governement annoucements we expect to re-open the High Street Shop on Monday 12th April initially with a limited hours and perhaps with a reduced of volunter staff.
The other shop is in the Lifeboat Station on the west promenade and is managed by Mrs Wendy Austin. It also stocks a very wide variety of suitable gifts but tends to specialise in the smaller more handy products. It opens daily from Easter through to the end of the October halfterm and is open during the season from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. If you have a particular query you can phone the High Street Shop in normal working hours on 01263 821 601. The Lifeboat Shop will unfortunately remain closed until the Lifeboat Station re-opens to the general public.
Both shops are run by volunteers and the shop in the Lifeboat Station is in a remote location at the extreme west end of the promenade so times may vary slightly. People making a special journey to the Lifeboat Shop should ring ahead Tel 01263 823 212 to check the exact opening times that day.
